“Wonderful World of Owls”

Conservation Specialist CMNH

Judy comes to us via The Natural History Museum. She is an author and a much sought-after speaker. Judy will give us all the wonderful details about our native Ohio owls.

“Conversations from the Still Room”

SPEAKER:
Beth Schreibman-Gehring

Beth is a master in the use of herbs for cooking, aromatherapy, healing, and much, much more. She is currently the Education Chairman for the Western Reserve Herb Society. This program promises a wonderful look at the way we use herbs.

APRIL

PROGRAM:
“Your Bird Backyard”

Mary Huey

Mary has lived in Northeast Ohio all of her life and her interest in birds dates back to a young age. Recently the concern for diminishing populations of birds has caused her to transform her garden into a safe haven for her fine-feathered friends. We will learn how to attract birds to our garden.

Manager, Urban Growers Garden Center

Holly is the right-hand woman behind John Urbanowicz, the owner of Urban Growers She will guide us through planting a new and different pot arrangement.

PROGRAM:
“Patriotic Flowers – Honoring the Red, White & Blue”

Noelle Clark Akin
Petitti Garden Center

Noelle will demonstrate how to make a variety of arrangements for the Fourth of July.

JULY

PROGRAM:
“A Tour through Lake Park’s Penitentiary Glen”

SPEAKER:
Caitlin Ambrose
Interpretive Naturalist

Are you ready for a unique experience? Caitlin will walk us through butterfly gardens, an animal rescue and a Halle family summer home. Sitting on a gorgeous piece of Lake Park’s property, Penitentiary Glen has much to see!

“Cooking with Doug Katz”

Doug Katz
Owner and Executive Chef of Fire, a food and drink establishment at Shaker Square

Doug, whose bio is long and impressive, comes to us to demonstrate the finer details of cooking with herbs.

OCTOBER

PROGRAM:
“A Visit to the Chelsea Flower Show”

SPEAKER:
Jeff Griff

Jeff will give a vicarious visit to England’s grand Chelsea Flower Show. The Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Show is the place to see cutting-edge garden design, new plants and to find ideas to take home.
